What is Research and What are the types of research?
Definition of Research:
Research can be defined as searching and gathering information again in order to reach new conclusions.it can also be defined as systematic investigation which is done by analyzing and collecting facts with reality which explain the main objective of the research.



Following techniques must be followed in research process:
In selection Process the researcher needs to be aware of what is going to be searched according to the requirements. Without it, it is difficult to plan the process which needs long time and effort.
Researcher must have the enough time to do the research. The reality that most research projects takes less than one year or it can take more time based upon the topics. Which shows that deciding the topic needs careful evaluation? For most topics it is important that the issues within the research must be linked to theory.


TYPES OF RESEARCH:

Different Types of research are following:


1. Exploratory research.in this researcher explore new ideas.
. It involves innovative studies which is very little known by others.
. It solve specific problem with great attention.

2. Pure research
. Pure research is the original research.
. It helps in discovering new theories.
. Helps in the development process of previous theories.

3. Applied research . It can be said that applied research is the part of the pure research.
. Is problem oriented (problem solving)
. It helps in finding solutions for various problems.
. It helps in applying methods that can be used for basic research.
. We can check the validity of a theory but under some conditions.

4. Descriptive research
.Descriptive research is mostly done with combine efforts.
.In descriptive research combine efforts of research helps in exploring various
 problems and solutions.
. It is very simple type of research.
. It takes lengthy time to do descriptive research as it is not based on hypothesis.

5. Diagnostic study
.we can say it is same as descriptive research but the difference is it is based on hypothesis.
.In diagnostic study one must have advance knowledge for researching.
.In diagnostic study we first Identifies problems and then solutions.

6. Evaluation study
. It is the form of applied research
. It helps in the development of the research effectively.
. It comprises the social or economical researches.
. It also includes quantitative and qualitative analysis.

7. Action research
. It is the part of the evaluation study.
. It involves same procedures as in evaluation study for researching.
