How Manager motivates his employees?(Interview with the manager)

I recently interviewed a manager of a well known bank located in the most populated area of the city a huge gathering of different kind of people covered the bank area for bank related work although Manager welcomed me for the interview
I started my interview with questioning Sir do you know what is motivation and its importance to increase performance
The manager calmly said that in today’s world no organization can achieve any goal without motivation, it can be defined as it is the process which produces a burning desire to achieve organizational objectives. It helps to improve performance of the staff as well as the performance of an organization.
The process of Motivation can be said conversion process in which working needs coverts into motives which results into satisfaction or dissatisfaction depends upon how individual perceive the motivation.
It is 100% true that motivation affects performance the reason why I believe this is that whenever I observed the performance is getting slower than I used to apply different motivational strategies and measured that performance improved surprisingly.
Not every staff member require same level of motivation the motivation injecting techniques varies from person to person and from post to post but every staff member requires motivation for example cashier and operational manager both are on different posts the new cashier will require more motivation then the operational manager but operational manager will also needs motivation dose when required I used to motivate my all staff members with soft attitude guiding them that this is your career and you can make this your golden career by proving yourself through your working.
In answer to the question about what type of Motivation content theories you use The manager said I don’t use only one Motivation content strategy rather I preferred to apply mix motivational strategy which includes all the contents which helps to motivate the people in effective way. For example
I used to arrange parties for the staff after month and sometimes we use to go outside for trip, we also try to arrange sports championship matches besides all these recreations
I help my staff in working , give them fruitful tips to complete work in given time and in effective way to get appraisal, holidays and other fringe benefits medical facility, pension funds , education loan, personal car loan, marriage loans etc which give them rise to work harder which increase the performance of both the individual as well as organization I also believe that unmet needs produce burning desire which increase motivation . one more thing I notice about my staff that besides all the facilities provided by the bank
Some Golden tips of motivation :

Employees may not need a pay raise as much as they do personal thanks from their manager for a job well done. Show your workers that you support them, and encourage better performance by motivating them in the following ways:
Personally thank employees for doing a good job — one on one, in writing, or both. Do it promptly, often, and sincerely.
Be willing to take time to meet with and listen to employees. Give them as much time as they need or want.
Provide specific feedback about the performance of the employee, the department, and the organization.
Strive to create a work environment that is open, Encourage new ideas and initiative.
Provide information about upcoming products and strategies, how the company makes and loses money, and how each employee fits into the overall plan.
Involve employees in decisions, especially those decisions that directly affect them.
Encourage employees to have a sense of ownership in their work and their work environment.
Create a partnership with each employee, giving them a chance to grow and learn new skills. Show them how you can help them meet their goals within the context of meeting the organization’s goals.
Celebrate successes of the company, the department, and the individuals in it. Take time for team- and morale-building meetings and activities.

Use performance as the basis for recognizing, rewarding, and promoting people. Deal with low and marginal performers so that they improve their performance or leave the organization.
